"The Detail of Little Evenst" contains five ambient and drone pieces by Paragaté (Tim Risher and Tom DePlonty). "Baby Needs a New Pair of Shoes" is built from a few processed voice and percussion samples. In the beginning, you hear a voice that slowly melts into the drone, warping the tonal center along the way. DePlonty's "The Rolling Sea" is a set of ambient variations on a theme by Tim Risher. The theme, heard at the end, is a short passage for oboe and piano from Risher's chamber piece "Das Wogende Meer". "The Detail of Little Events" gets its title from a quote by Edward Gibbon, and uses throughout text from his "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" (performed by a computer voice). "How Dogs Think" is built from many layers, over a tonal drone. Everything is soft, so close listening is needed to hear the way the layers intersect, as they fade in and out of the texture.
